Guggul Resin

Guggul or Indian Bdellium. Often spelled Gugul or Guggulu, or even Gugulon. Sometimes called Indian frankincense, although this resin is not of the genus Boswellia. It is most closely related to myrrh (Commiphora myrrha).

It is a resin produced by a tree of the Burseraceae family, mainly native to India and the Middle East. It is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine (traditional Indian medicine).

Its fumigation produces a balsamic, pungent and resinous odour with vanilla notes. It is beneficial for stress, nervousness and insomnia.
